In 2024 the Nebraska Supreme Court, State-ex-rel-Spung v. Evnen, ordered election officials to immediately allow people who have completed their felony sentences to register to vote. This decision still leaves disenfranchised people serving felony convictions on parole and probation. Maine and Vermont are the only states without any voting restrictions, except the obvious, are you a citizen and eighteen years old. It is time for Nebraska to remove all voting restrictions and let our people vote!
